2009 VBS! Living the Joyful MysteriesKids from grades K4-6 participated. The John Paul II Youth Group primarily ran the activities.
The children learned about the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary.
The children were very busy every day with crafts and activities. They leared about a mystery each day, were taught songs to sing, and prayed a decade of the rosary each day while presenting roses to Our Blessed Mother. The sixth graders put on skits for the younger grades. On Wednesday, children were encouraged to bring a gift for the baby Jesus in the form of canned goods for our St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank. The highlight of the week was launching a rosary made of balloons into the air.
A special thank you to all our volunteers who helped set up, clean up, make snacks, assisted in the crafts, and the JPII Youth Group who really became involved from beginning to end.
